Basic Charges

• Hourly Rate - a basic charge for my services, not applicable to package prices except where charged as an excess for extra work.£20 per hour



• Hosting - ALL packages require hosting. Hosting is what enables your site to be visible on the internet and is charged yearly.   Without hosting, your site would only be visible on the computer on which it was designed, and no one would be able to access it.  I can design sites for you without hosting if you want to find your own hosting provider, bear in mind that you will have to use ftp and also learn about configuring servers.  The fee for hosting also includes basic site care which ensures your site runs smoothly all year round.£50 per year

Package Prices

All packages are presented both online and on a CD-ROM or DVD-ROM so there is always a hard copy of your site if you need to restore it, or re-host it.

• Poster Site - A basic one page site will give your business a very basic web presence.  Good for linking to from classified directories if you need to provide just a little more information about your business. £100



• Business Starter - A three page site will give your business a more rounded web presence.  Also good for linking to from classified directories if you need to provide more information about your business, and also provides a contact form so potential and existing customers can have an simple way to get in touch.£200



• Business Starter Plus - Up to 5 pages will give your business a solid web presence giving you a chance to showcase every aspect of your operations.  This kind of website is also good for linking to from classified directories if you need to provide more detailed information about your business, and also provides a contact form so potential and existing customers can have an simple way to get in touch.  In addition this site can hold a gallery of photos of your work or products, perhaps a dedicated links page or a page detailing your membership of trade or regulatory bodies, or anything technical that you need to communicate about your business.£300

• Back Ups - If your site contains a database or discussion board, then the data in your site will constantly be changing and it is a good idea to back up your data to protect yourself from data loss.  It is also possible to discuss the cost of a set number of regular back-ups which I can do at a reduced price.

• Discussion Boards - If you need the capability to host a discussion board on your site for people to share information, debate, or perhaps even to act as a support forum, I can install one for you and incorporate your overall website design theme into it.£200



• Directory Submissions - I can submit your site and/or business details to local directories, national directories, specialist directories or any combination of those.  This will help to increase the availability of your business to customers who use directory listings as opposed to search engines.

• E-Mail Addresses - Each package comes with a single e-mail address.  If you need more additional e-mail addresses can be purchased.

• Logo Creation - I can create or redesign a suitable logo for your business.  You will be able to use this logo not only on your website, but also on printed stationary.

• Pages - Additional pages can be added to your site at around half the cost of the original pages.

• Search Engine Optimisation - If you need your site to be found easily by people surfing the net for a particular product or service, I can optimise the code in your site so that search engines will list your site.  This is a yearly charge and sites are evaluated every month in order to improve SEO rankings.

• Search Engine Optimisation - Ad-Hoc - If you need your site to be found easily by people surfing the net for a particular product or service, I can optimise the code in your site so that search engines will list your site.  This is a one off charge and can be done each time you request it.

• Search Engine Submission (simple) - I can submit your site to the major search engines, such as Google, Yahoo and Alta Vista.  This will allow your site to feature in the search results they return, but will not guarantee you a place in the top results, you will need paid or sponsored listings to do this, and they are priced according to each project.
